Jean-Phi Gonçalves is a Montreal-based composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist originally from France. Trained in classical and jazz music, he began his career as a drummer before moving into electronic music and composition.

Since 2010, he has composed for film, television, video games, and live productions, including Sharp Objects and Big Little Lies for HBO, as well as several Cirque du Soleil productions, including Alegría.

His musical language, blending rock, electronic, jazz, and orchestral influences, creates cinematic soundscapes that serve each story.

He describes his approach this way: "My work can be compared to that of a gold prospector and a jeweler: composition is about finding the nugget, while arranging and producing are about transforming it into a unique piece of jewelry."
